For over 50 years, Ernest Lacy, artist, instructor and educator, has been absorbed by the complexities of color and composition. In his canvases he transforms everyday subjects into magnificent designs of form and color, conveying a feeling of superb organization with intuitive spontaneity of saturated hues.

Born in Los Angeles, California, Lacy studied art at the Chouinard Art Institute, Kann Art Institute, Otis Art Institute and the University of California at Los Angeles.

His travels have taken him throughout the world where he has transferred his life experiences into magnificent renderings of color and design.
