		The Gallery On Glassell presents: Churches, Crosses & Cathedrals Opening Reception 6-9pm, Sat., August 14 August 14 - September 15 The iconography of faith and worship meets contemporary fine art. Paintings of churches in California, Latin America and Europe anchor vignettes that include furniture with crosses of tile, wood and/or metal. One of the main features of the show is a 160-year old robe chest that come out of a church in Central Mexico. The Art of Day of the Dead Saturday, Sept. 25, 6-9pm The Day of the Dead is actually a celebration of life. See how master artists from Mexico and the United States create folk art that pays tribute to the lives of our relatives and loved ones. From dancers and rock musicians to political figures, we have the perfect addition to your Day of the Dead shrine.
