April is a magical month.
Spring gets into full swing. The rainy season ends and everyone rushes to get their taxes filed on time. If you
filed early, you already have your return. Now it’s time to enjoy the beauty around
you, plant a garden and brighten up the house.
The Art of the Olive, Sun.,
April 11, 3-5 p.m. is our debut of our Sunday afternoon gourmet events. They will be held once or twice a month and will be posted on our website. We have spent the past three months sampling olive and olive-based pro-ducts from California and Spain. It’s tough for me to decide who has the edge. You’ll have fun deciding.
Recently, we sampled a variety of products from Cali-fornia Harvest in the middle of Northern California’s wine country. They have perfected a variety of products inclu-ding tapenades, flavored vinegars, olives, flavored mus-tards and sun-dried tomatoes. They are all impressive.
From the Central California Coast. we have added the Pasolivo citrus flavored olive oils. From the same re-
gion, we have added olives and olive products from
Santa Barbara. We have added two varieties of Spanish olives from Matiz as well. All of the new oils and tapenades can be sampled on freshly baked artisan breads.
On April 24. We host An Evening In Napa Valley, 6-9 p.m. The gallery will display paintings of Napa Valley scenes, we will introduce additional gourmet foods made in Napa Valley and we will sample a variety of Napa Valley wines. The Napa Valley show will run through Memorial Day.
We hope you’ll join us.
