Wish You Were Here

Sat., June 12, 6-9 pm

I grew up in Phoenix where it gets really hot in the sum-mer. Each May, as the school year ended, I thought about where my family would go for summer vacation. Sometimes, we drove to California to see relatives and visit Disney-land. Other summers, we would head north to visit relatives in Idaho and Wyoming. In either case, it was an escape from swel-tering triple digit heat; an opportunity to discover the American West.

When we were brainstorming theme ideas for a June show, my wife Donna and I decided to produce a show of paintings and memorabilia that would put everyone in a traveling mood. The classic theme, Wish You Were Here, from the curio store postcards, shouted out to us.

Thanks to the creative genius of our artists, we have assembled about thirty paintings that will take you from Yosemite, to Zion to Yellowstone National Park. Or, you may be in the mood to visit a foreign country. In that case, we have paintings of Italy, Spain, Portugal and Latin America. Whatever your preference, buying a painting at Wish You Were Here will make you want to find your luggage and call your travel agent.
