Art of the Marketplace moved to May 14
As you probably know by now, we had to delay our April 30 show, Art of the Market-place, until May 14. There were some logistical and scheduling problems that couldn’t be worked out. But I just finished hanging the new show and WOW! It was worth the wait.
Paintings of open-air markets from London to Marrakech to Venice celebrate the differences and similarities in the world’s cultures. And the differences in the painting styles of Marjorie Taylor, Andrea Gaye, Ernest Lacy, William Galvez, Linda Brown and the rest of our family of artists have transformed The Gallery On Glassell into an international marketplace. The paintings hanging on the walls have close ties with the growing selection of gourmet food products we carry.

We started taking our lifestyle message on the road this month as a participant in the new Old Towne Orange Ca. Farmers and Artisans Market. The event takes place each Saturday, 8 a.m. - Noon at the site of the former Villa Park Orchards Packing House Lot at 304 N. Cypress St. Check it out as soon as you can. We had 2,600 individuals show of the inaugural event.
Make sure you stop in for this show. The opening is 6-9 p.m., Sat., May 14. We will have refreshments and live acoustical guitar music. The show will remain on display through June 19.
We hope to see you here at the gallery and at the marketplace.
