The Holiday Season
Thanksgiving is just around the corner. The Holiday Season is here and our calendars are rapidly filling up with parties, shopping excursions and holiday cooking sessions. And this year, the distance between Thanksgiving and Christmas is a mere 29 days.
Many of our friends report they are viewing the Holiday Season differently this year. They want to give something their loved ones will use or cherish for the rest of their lives. My mom turns 89 in early December. She has been giving away her collection to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren for years. Mom is getting a great basket of gourmet Italian food from The Gallery On Glassell. It will be used and enjoyed soon after Christmas and Mom won‘t have to worry about where to store it.
A special couple on our list is getting a small painting from The Gallery On Glassell. They visit the website often so I have to keep the specifics under wraps. It will enhance their home for years to come. It won’t get stuffed away in a storage unit, re-gifted or brought out and displayed only when we go for a visit. Each time they look at it, both of them will be reminded of the gifted artist who created it and of the special bonds we share.
Another person on the list is a great fan of iron accessories created by Jan Barboglio. She will be thrilled to open the package that surrounds a beautiful iron sconce and candle holder. This will blend in splendidly with dozens of other accessories from the Jan Barboglio collection and a mixture of Spanish colonial revival and country furnishings.
If you need help with a party, keep Peony Catering in mind. That is my wife, Donna’s passion. Maybe you need some great fudge and cookies for a gift or your contribution to a party. Or, maybe you want someone to do all the cooking for your special event. Either way, Donna is a master at menu planning, and cooking fabulous dishes.
We’re here to help you make the holidays special.
