Art: A Palette for Living - Gallery On Glassell

October is...
Spanish Legacy, Sat., Oct. 23, 6-9 p.m.

Linda Brown and Cottonwood Colors paintingOctober is a month of change. Nights and mornings grow cooler. Leaves begin turning color. We start thinking of the holidays: of the time we will spend with friends and relatives; of gifts they will enjoy. We would like to help you make this a special time.

There is an art to gift giving. Understanding the likes and needs of the recipient is the first and most important step. Hosting a party for the holidays is also an art. Planning themenu for the party is just as important as the theme. There is an art to being a gracious guest. Making a contribution to the menu or taking the perfect host or hostess gift is crucial.

That’s where we come in.

As many of you know, The Gallery On Glassell began building a gourmet food department last year. We are taking it a step farther this month by introducing gourmet baskets that are tailored to the tastes of the recipients. From the packaging to the contents, we will help you create the perfect gift: one that will indulge the recipient’s senses of taste and smell.

We already have gourmet foods from Spain, Italy and California. This month, we add the French connection when we roll out delicacies from Fauchon, Michel Cluizel and Madame Chocolat.

To celebrate our 12th Anniversary, we will hold the opening reception for “Spanish Legacy” Sat, Oct. 23, 6 - 9 p.m. The show will demonstrate how most of us in the Americas are connected to Spain through paintings, accessories and food.

We hope you will join us.
