Neil Jacobe

Neil E. Jacobe's art defines diversity. From Apache Indians on the war path to still life, Neil's zest for life is evident in each of his paintings.

Born in Hawarden, Iowa in 1924, Jacobe's art career started early by drawing and painting for school and community projects. By the time he graduated from high school, WWII had started. Serving in the 76th Division under General George Patton, he was wounded in Germany and spent seven months in military hospitals.

Returning to the US, Neil worked as as illustrator. He won many awards for his military and space illustrations. Retired in 1984, he paints full time.
