Born in China, Steve Wang observed his father paint as a child. Over the years, he developed an appreciation and interest in art.

In 1966, Steve Wang won a national honor scholarship to attend graduate school in the United States. He majored in industrial design at the Illinois Institute of Technology. For years he worked as an architectural designer and illustrator. In 1977, Steve and his family moved to Southern California where he now devotes most of his time to painting the landscapes of California and the West.

His plein air paintings, executed in his vivid and unique style attract many enthusiastic collectors.
