A California  Central Coast artist, Sunni Gibbons was raised in a military family. The somewhat gypsy lifestyle brought such diverse experiences as a small farm-style homelife in rural Washington state to high school graduation from Marymount International School in Barcelona, Spain.

Her early art training included two years of Commercial Art followed by a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art, Painting, from the Unversity of Washington in Seattle. After rasing a family she completed her Master of Arts degree from San Jose State University.

After several years as a graphic designer Sunni and her husband moved to Santa Maria, where she has found inspiration from the human form and condition of the local field laborers.
