Susan Driscoll specializes in painting people and buildings. You might notice that most of her paintings show signs of human (or inhuman!) life: faces, figures, clothing, and habitations. She has always been fascinated by people: how they live, feel, and interact.

Vivid colors, charming old buildings, past eras, old horror movies, family secrets, ballroom dancing, passionate music, and romantic or exotic dresses all inspire the dreamy pictures she paints.

The series of "Paris at Night" paintings was inspired by Susan's recent visits to that city, where she was struck by the haunting beauty and vibrant pulse of the hot summer nights.
